Shannon D. Martin

Shannon D. Martin is the heart behind This Thing Called Wellness—a podcast and movement created to help women over 40 reclaim joy, restore rhythm, and reconnect with themselves one conversation at a time.

A certified Health and Wellness Coach, Shannon knows what it feels like to carry emotional weight and feel out of rhythm with yourself and your life. Her own journey through anxiety, depression, and deep healing led her to create Hello Wellness Box—a soulful self-care experience crafted to nurture emotional and spiritual wellness with intention.

With a voice like a soft hug, Shannon gently invites listeners to pause with purpose, reflect honestly, and take small, grace-filled steps forward. Through thoughtful reflections and conversations with those who’ve turned their hard seasons into meaningful change, she reminds us that wellness is a rhythm, not a destination.

Melissa Flynt

Melissa Flynt is a wife and mother of three grown children with a background in public and home education. Her wellness journey began with a personal health scare that changed her life. After consulting specialists, she discovered that her pain was linked to anxiety and harmful xenoestrogens in her environment. This led her to seek safer, natural solutions and educate herself on the impact of toxins in everyday household products.

Equipped with a degree in Psychology, Melissa now uses her expertise to guide others on their wellness journeys. She shares the 'cliff notes' version of her research, making it easier for people to understand the dangers of toxins in everyday household products. Passionate about advocating for natural cleaning products, healthier foods, and supplements that support gut health, Melissa is committed to raising awareness and empowering others to take simple steps toward a healthier, toxin-free life.
