I’m Shannon D. Martin, Certified Health & Wellness Coach, host, and a woman rediscovering herself after years of showing up for everyone else. After more than a decade of navigating anxiety, depression, and burnout, I chose to pause, pour into my own healing, and start again. 💚
Now, I’m learning to define wellness in a way that honors what feels right for me not by outside expectations, but by my own rhythm. And I’m inviting you to do the same.

Hello, beautiful, welcome to today's conversation where we're going to talk about stepping from behind the microphone. Let's talk about it. I'm your host, Shannon Martin, and welcome to today's episode of this Thing Calls Wellness. Thank you for joining me today. I have some incredibly exciting news to share with you. We're taking our conversation to the next level, with some fantastic updates and new ways to engage with you. But before we talk about all of that, I just want to thank you for being such loyal listeners and supporting our journey. First, we're thrilled to announce that we'll be launching bi-weekly episodes. That's right. You'll now hear new content from us twice a month.
Shannon D Martin:This change is all about better connecting with you, our wonderful audience. I want to find out more of what you would like to hear, topics you want to have discussed, and so on. We want to ensure that we're bringing you the most valuable and engaging content possible, and we believe this new schedule will help us do just that. Now I'm really excited and nervous about stepping out from behind the microphone. We're going to start bringing you video content. You'll be able to see me a lot more. You'll be able to see our guests and experience our conversations in a whole new way. This edition is all about making our tips and discussions even more interactive and engaging. Imagine not just hearing the advice, but seeing demonstrations and reactions in real time. And that's not all. We have a brand new newsletter and website launching soon. The newsletter will be packed with exclusive content, updates and insights you won't want to miss. Plus, our website will be your go-to hub for all things related to our podcast, from episode archives to social media posts and so much more.
Shannon D Martin:When I started this podcast almost a year ago, on August 7th, right, I never imagined we'd come this far. Today we're on episode 32,. Y'all and I owe it all to you. Your support has been the driving force behind our growth and I'm so grateful for each and every one of you. So, beginning on this August 7th, we will begin our new bi-weekly schedule, but first we want to take a brief summer vacation because we need it. Then we'll come back and get everything in order and get ready to get going. These new additions are just the next step in our journey together, and I can't wait to share guest interviews, more information and build an even stronger connection with you Now.
Shannon D Martin:We won't be totally gone for the summer, but we'll have some audio and video and other fun content to keep this thing called wellness in mind, as well as little snippets from past shows and other interesting tips.
