This Thing Called Wellness
🎙️ Welcome to This Thing Called Wellness — Helping Women Heal, Rediscover, and Reclaim Their Joy—One Conversation at a Time.
I’m Shannon Martin—Certified Health and Wellness Coach, mental health advocate, and a woman who's spent over 11 years healing through depression, anxiety, and panic disorder. 💚
Now in this new season of life, I’m rediscovering who I am beyond the roles I’ve held—mother, caregiver, wife—and reconnecting with the woman I’m becoming. This Thing Called Wellness was born from that journey. It's a heart-centered space for women navigating life transitions, burnout, or simply figuring out what comes next in this “other half” of life.
Every other Wednesday, join me for soul-stirring conversations with inspiring guests and women who’ve walked through the fire and found healing on the other side. Together, we share real stories, gentle wisdom, and practical tools to help you reconnect with yourself—emotionally, spiritually, mentally, and physically. 🌿
Whether you’re rebuilding your life, reclaiming your peace, or just beginning to ask, “Who am I now?”—you are not alone. This space is for you. ✨
Listen on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, iHeartRadio, Amazon Music, YouTube, and wherever you tune in.

Summer Reflections: Gratitude and Growth
In this heartfelt episode, we delve into the unexpected blessings and deep spiritual growth that shaped my summer. What I thought would be a lonely season turned into a journey of connection, love, and profound reflection. Join me as I share the cherished moments spent with those who are closest to my heart:
- My Best Friend: A soul sister who stood by me, offering unwavering support and love as we navigated life’s ups and downs together.
- My Son: As he embarks on his final year of college, I reflect on the pride and bittersweet joy of watching him grow into the man he is destined to become.
- My Dad: The eternal cheerleader in my life, whose wisdom and encouragement remind me that I am never truly alone.
- A New Friendship: A budding connection that has brought fresh energy and inspiration, helping me to keep my dreams alive even during challenging times.
Through these relationships, I discovered that God’s love manifests in many forms, constantly reminding me of the abundance of blessings in my life. Each Sunday, as I add to my Gratitude Jar, I’m reminded of the strength and joy that comes from appreciating the small and significant moments alike.
Tune in to explore how these relationships and moments of reflection have contributed to my spiritual growth, offering lessons on the power of gratitude, the importance of staying connected, and the beauty of trusting in God’s plan. Whether you’re going through a tough time or simply seeking inspiration, this episode will resonate with anyone who values love, growth, and the enduring bonds of family and friendship.
