As we bid farewell to another year, I find myself enveloped in a profound sense of gratitude for the journey we've embarked on together. This podcast started as a tiny beacon of hope in the landscape of mental health discussion, and it has blossomed into a sanctuary where we've shared our struggles, triumphs, and everything in between. In our final episode of 2023, I'm reflecting on the stories that have connected us and celebrating the steps we've taken towards not just managing, but thriving in our mental wellness. We've laughed, we've cried, and most importantly, we've grown, as individuals and as a community. The introduction of holistic wellness experts to our line-up promises to add depth and expertise to our conversations, ensuring we keep bridging the gap from suffering to insightful management of our wellbeing.

Looking ahead, I'm thrilled about the new year brimming with potential and the exciting ventures on the horizon. The promise of a voice and video options means stepping out of my comfort zone and into a more personal connection with you all. And let's not forget the launch of the Hello Wellness Box, set to coincide with the unveiling of my website, Shannon Does Wellness—a comprehensive hub for all things wellness. As we move into 2024, I'm inviting you to join me in setting intentions, finding your word for the year, and carrying compassion in your heart for those overwhelming moments. Remember, true celebration lies in being genuine to who we are, and I'm here to support and celebrate every step of your journey. Cheers to a new year of authenticity, love, and wellness.

Shannon D Martin:

Hello, beautiful. This is our last episode for 2023 and I just wanted to stop by and just say thank you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I created this podcast out of a desire to talk about my mental health journey and to hopefully help other women realize that they are not alone in This Thing Called Wellness. As I was going through my hardest days, I often felt alone. Even though I had family and friends, I felt there was no one who truly understood where I was coming from and how I felt. As I began to feel better. I asked God to give me the strength to talk about my journey in the hopes of helping someone, even if it was just one person, to make the decision to get help or to recognize some of the symptoms that I have talked about in their loved ones, and to realize that this is not a made up condition that makes someone crazy, but that they truly may have symptoms that need to be diagnosed and cared for. So I began to talk about things. I didn't know if anyone would listen, but you are, and I thank you.

Shannon D Martin:

As I thought about things, I wanted to continue to share my story, but I also want to continue to help women bridge the gap from suffering to managing, and to do that. I want to build a community where we can all help each other as well as have others share their experiences with us so we can continue to heal and grow. So in the new year, I plan to have guests holistic wellness experts. I'm trying to have at least one person a month to help us maintain our balance and continue on our journey to finding calm. I'm vetting guests now in hopes to find the right experts for my listening audience, that is you. If There's something that you'd like to hear discussed? Please email me at this thing called wellness@ gmail. com. Now, what else is to come? Of course, we'll keep the episode short and in bite size formats so that we can listen quickly, because, honestly, when you have anxiety, like I do, or any any other type of wellness issue, or even if you're just in a rush, my attention span is very short. So I really love having short, bite size information type of podcast. So I will make sure that they are as short as possible and, if not, they will be broken into part one, two, three, something like that, just so that it's easy to digest it, and valuable information. I plan to have a voice and video options. More on that later. Of course, I have been told that people want to see more of me, so I will do my best to be on camera more so that you can see me, and that I need to shine a little more, I know, but I don't like the camera. But I will do my best and I am launching a new website.

Shannon D Martin:
